— About the company
Built Deliberately. Operated Responsibly.
The Great December Companies was formed to bring institutional discipline to essential service work and to give independent operators the infrastructure to grow without losing what made them great.
Capability expanded. Standards preserved.
Our Story
What started as a single service division has grown into a group of specialized companies serving clients across Texas.
In the early days, the work was simple and hands‑on. Crews took calls in the middle of the night, secured properties before sunrise, and moved fast to document and scope losses. The mission was clear: respond quickly, do the job right, and follow through.
As client needs grew, so did the work. Insurance carriers needed partners who could handle both mitigation and reconstruction. Property owners needed help with contents and cleaning. Legal teams needed documentation that could hold up under pressure. Instead of outsourcing those responsibilities, we built new divisions with dedicated expertise for each discipline.
Today, Great December includes seven core divisions: mitigation, restoration, construction, appraisals, demolition, workforce, and cleaning. Each one operates independently with its own focus and strengths, while sharing leadership, infrastructure, and a commitment to consistent, reliable service.
A burst pipe turns into scattered calls and unclear direction. A fire claim turns into scopes that do not align. A staffing gap turns into delays no one planned for. Every handoff is where control slips and accountability fades. Great December was built to eliminate that. Multiple specialized divisions operating as one disciplined team. One project lead from first call to final sign‑off. Depth without fragmentation. Accountability without seams.

The Road to Great December
Our Timeline
Great December was not assembled for scale. It was built to remove failure points. Each phase reflects a correction to what breaks in property response: delayed coordination, unclear ownership, and inconsistent outcomes. The result is a unified system where every division operates under one standard, one timeline, and one accountable leader.
Started in restoration and construction as a single emergency response crew. 3 a.m. calls. Immediate stabilization. Direct coordination with homeowners and carriers.
Work exposed a recurring issue. Fragmented vendors slowed recovery and diluted accountability.
Expanded from restoration and construction into appraisals, water mitigation, workforce, and cleaning. Each division added to close gaps created by multi vendor workflows and delayed responsibility.
Work was brought in house to maintain continuity from first response through final resolution.
Built in response to client and vendor demand for coordination and accountability. Independent where required. Unified where it counts. Single operating structure across all divisions. Single accountable outcome across every engagement.
Our Mission

How We Operate
These are the principles that keep our work precise, predictable, and accountable. They’re why carriers keep our number, owners pass our name along, and counsel rests easy when the file goes to court.
-
Respond and route
All inquiries enter a monitored response workflow. Urgent issues trigger immediate escalation. Each new project is assigned an accountable owner at intake so action starts without waiting for internal routing.
-
Capture information built for resolution
Insurance-grade scopes. Time-stamped photos. Signed change orders. Built for both claim resolution and legal scrutiny.
-
Control the work through self‑performance
We use our own crews and equipment to control quality, pace, and accountability. No subcontractor chains that blur responsibility or slow decisions.
-
Maintain single‑point ownership
One lead manages the file from intake through completion. No internal handoffs that dilute authority or create delays.
